Participation in the Dutch Shrimp Contest is only possible by filling in the registration form on this website.
By entering this competition, the entrant automatically declares that his shrimps are free of disease and have not been in contact with diseased shrimp.
A registration list in order of registration date is saved. No one will be able to view this list other than the Organization Committee. Only after the assessment has been carried out will the participants be announced.
Each participant may enter a maximum of 3x per category.
Each group of shrimps must consist of a minimum of 3 shrimps, a maximum of 5 shrimps, this must be a minimum of 1 male and a minimum of 2 females.
When we receive more entries, we will put the rest of the entries on a reserve list. Everything will be under the “first come, first served”.
Your registration is only final when we have received the registration costs.
Registration will close on Sunday September 18, 2022 and payment must be received no later than September 18, 2022.
For participating in 1 group, the registration costs per category are € 17.50 and a one-off € 6.00 administration and transaction costs.
For participating in any other group, the registration costs are €17.50 extra per group.
All proceeds arising from the contest will be used to defray the costs of Dutch Shrimp Contest.
Payment can be made through our payment system, you can choose: Ideal, PayPal, sofort Banking.
If you want to participate in the shrimp auction, the registration costs are € 15.00 per category and € 6.00 administration costs are one-time.

The participant will receive a registration confirmation once payment has been received.
Participation in Dutchshrimp contest Vivarium 2022
The shrimps must be delivered no later than 28 September 2022 to Schietbaanweg 75, 7521CZ Enschede Nederland, or to our German delivery address Wackengoorweg 10 48599 Gronau Germany.
There is a possibility to deliver the shrimp to the Vivarium yourself! These must be handed in at the latest on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at the Autotron Rosmalen Graafsebaan 133 5248NL Rosmalen. Only in consultation with the DSC organization.
The Organizing Committee will create a list of numbers on which the participants will be registered. The list is therefore not public until the winners are announced.
Clearly put your name and category of entry on the box, it must be clearly legible to avoid disqualification.
If the shrimp submitted is different from how they were registered, they will be placed in the correct group.
The Dutch shrimp competition will hold the following categories:
Cat 1 – Neocaridina all full colors all Rili
Cat 2 – All Crystal Red and Black
Cat 3 – All Type Tigers
Cat 4 – All Type Orange Eyes
Cat 5 – All Type Blue Bolt/Red Bolt, Steel Red and Blue, Snow White
Cat 6 – All Type Panda and Red Wine
Cat 7 – Al Red and Black Boa
Cat 8 – All Black and Red Fishbone, Bone and Galaxy
Cat 9 – All Type Metallic
Cat 10 – Calceo, Dragon Bloods, Red Scorpion
Cat 11 – Caridina all Super Crystal Red and Black
Cat 12 – Caridina Red and Black Pinto, Spotted Head, Multistripe, Mosura and Hinomuro
Cat 13 – Caridina Red and Black/Shadow Bee, Classic Colors
Cat 14 – All Type Fancy
Cat 15 – All New Type Cross Breedings/ Open Group
The juries will be composed by the organizing committee.
If judges participate in the competition, they will be judged by 2 independent juries.
Assessment will take place on Friday September 30, 2022.
The jury checks on colour, pattern, health and general impression of the shrimp group. They use international standards and review reports defined for each category.
When scoring is a tie within one category, the Organizing Committee appoints two judges to do a rescoring round. If the result is another draw, the final decision is made by the Organizing Committee.
The results will be announced on Sunday 2 October 2022 on the website of Dutch shrimp contest
Jury criteria: What should be disqualified?
Less than 3 shrimp
Shrimp with carapace deformities and other deformations.
Parasites and other diseases.
Shrimp too small (smaller than +/-1.8 cm)
the lack of body parts: legs, feelers, eyes, etc, etc.
When you post videos or photos for the Online Dutch Shrimp Contest, on Facebook or You Tube, before the results are known you will be disqualified!!
What should not be disqualified?
Shrimp in the wrong category (shrimp must be placed in the correct category).
